Yosef Grinberg (April 23, 1900 – June 20, 1996) was a Polish Jew who emigrated to the U.S. in 1924. He was a prominent actor in Yiddish theater and a director of Yiddish-language films, creating four notable films shot in Poland: Yidl mitn fidl (1935), Der Purimspiler (1937), Mamele (1938), and A brivele der mamen (1939), for which he also wrote screenplays, except for Mamele.
