📱 How to Screencast from Android to a Smart TV
Requirements: Android 6.0 or later, Wi-Fi connection, and a smart TV that supports Miracast, Chromecast, or has built-in casting functionality.
Steps (Android):
Ensure Both Devices Are on the Same Wi-Fi Network
✔️ Make sure your Android phone and Smart TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.Enable Screen Mirroring or Casting on the TV
🔹 On your Smart TV, go to Settings > Network or Display > Screen Mirroring (may vary by brand like Samsung, LG, Sony). Enable it or set it to “Ready.”Swipe Down to Access Quick Settings on Android
🔽 Pull down from the top of your phone’s screen to open the Quick Settings menu.Tap “Cast” or “Smart View” or “Screen Share”
🔸 The option name depends on your device:Samsung: Smart View
Pixel/Stock Android: Cast
Huawei/Oppo/etc.: Wireless Projection or Multi-Screen
Select Your TV from the List of Available Devices
📺 Your TV should appear in the list. Tap it to start the connection.Accept the Connection Prompt on the TV (If Required)
✅ Some TVs will ask you to allow or confirm the connection. Use your TV remote to approve it.Your Android Screen Will Now Be Mirrored on the TV
📷 Everything you do on your phone will now be displayed on the TV screen.To Stop Casting
🚫 Swipe down, tap the Cast/Smart View icon, then Disconnect or Stop Mirroring.
📱 How to Screencast from iPhone (iOS) to a Smart TV
Requirements: iOS 11 or later, Wi-Fi connection, and a smart TV that supports AirPlay 2 or has an Apple TV connected.
Steps (iOS):
Ensure Both Devices Are on the Same Wi-Fi Network
✔️ Your iPhone and Smart TV (or Apple TV) must be on the same Wi-Fi network.Enable AirPlay on Your TV or Apple TV
If using a TV with AirPlay 2 support (e.g., Samsung, LG, Sony):
Go to Settings > AirPlay > Turn On.If using an Apple TV:
Go to Settings > AirPlay and HomeKit > AirPlay: ON.
Open Control Center on iPhone
🔽 On iPhones with Face ID: swipe down from the top-right corner.
On iPhones with Touch ID: swipe up from the bottom of the screen.Tap “Screen Mirroring”
📡 This will open a list of available AirPlay-compatible devices.Select Your TV or Apple TV from the List
📺 Tap the name of your device to start mirroring.Enter AirPlay Code (If Prompted)
🔐 Your TV might display a code. Enter it on your iPhone when prompted.Your iPhone Screen Will Now Be Mirrored on the TV
🖥 Everything you do will appear on the TV screen.To Stop Mirroring
🚫 Open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, then Stop Mirroring.
📱 How to Screencast from Phone to a Fire TV
On your Fire TV:
Navigate to Settings: Go to the Fire TV's Settings menu.
Find Display & Sounds: Select "Display & Sounds".
Enable Display Mirroring: Choose "Enable Display Mirroring" or a similar option like "Screen Mirroring".
On your Android Phone:
Open Quick Settings: Swipe down from the top of your screen to access the quick settings menu.
Locate Screen Mirroring: Find the option for screen mirroring (may be labeled "Cast," "Smart View," or "Screen Mirroring").
Select your Fire TV: Your phone will search for available devices; select your Fire TV from the list.
Confirm Connection: You might need to confirm the connection on your Fire TV using the remote.
For iPhones:
Install AirReceiver: Download and install the AirReceiver app on your Fire TV.
Enable Screen Mirroring: Open the AirReceiver app and enable screen mirroring.
Connect from iPhone: Go to your iPhone's control center, tap screen mirroring, and select your Fire TV.
Important Notes:
Make sure your phone and Fire TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Some apps may not support screen mirroring.
You can usually control playback and volume using your phone while mirroring.
To stop mirroring, you can either turn it off on your phone or press a button on your Fire TV remote.
